SafeCom Go HP FS: "device is not yet configured, please try again later"
Problem Statement:
When installing SafeCom Go HP FS *30.44 or newer the SafeCom EWS Configuration shows "device is not yet configured, please try again later".
Cause:
SafeCom Go HP FS *30.44 introduced a new device discovery for more accurate identification of device features.
This new device discovery mechanism requires the IPP protocol to actually identify the device features.
Resolution:
To perform the device discovery the IPP protocol on the HP device must be enabled for the initial configuration.
Once the device discovery is completed and the SafeCom EWS Configuration is showing the appropriate settings for the device then the IPP protocol can be disabled again, if desired.
