Known limitations with SafeCom Device Server Failover
Information:
According to past SafeCom documentation it is possible to configure a multiple number of DS (Device Server) groups.
However reported issues and testing has shown the following limitations are observed in versions DS 90*09 (and earlier) with G4 520*09 using SafeCom Device Server failover:
- Currently only one Device Server Group can be set - Although SafeCom Administrator allows creating more groups, the members of those groups work as if they were in the same group.
- Groups can't be modified dynamically - Any kind of change, adding or removing members, moving members to another group, is ignored until each member of the group is restarted.
Solution:
The solutions to these limitations is planned for the next G4 and Device Server release.
